My name is Mary-Jane Sahanaja and the purpose of my website is to inspire you with articles about my personal experiences in the world of self-publishing. In order to self-publish my work, I have set up a publishing house: Uitgeverij Huis van Mercurius, which is registered with the Chamber of Commerce to have a publisher prefix that can be used to buy isbn numbers. An isbn number is a registration number for books.

USE OF COOKIES
My blog is created using Wix.com. Wix.com uses cookies.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website puts on your computer's hard drive at the time you visit the site. The main function of cookies is to distinguish one user from another and to provide the website visitor with the best user experience. You come across cookies a lot on websites that require you to log in. You can choose not to accept cookies. This may cause the website to become slower in use. If you choose to accept cookies, the website will be a lot faster.
Cookie alert pop-up
To visit my website, you do not necessarily have to log in.
My blog uses a cookie alert pop-up. This pop-up appears when you visit my blog for the first time. In it, you can indicate whether or not to use cookies. It is recommended to use cookies, because it offers a better website experience. If you visit the website again afterwards, the pop-up will no longer appear. This is because you will have already indicated once whether or not you want to use cookies.
Types of cookies used on my blog

IP ADDRESS REGISTRATION
My website remembers your IP address. The IP in IP address stands for Internet Protocol and is a technique used for computers in a network to communicate with each other. For example, the Internet.
So my computer communicates with your computer via the IP address. In private homes, the IP address is from the telecom provider. You can also think of it as a phone number, because each computer in an IP network is assigned a unique code.
An IP address can be blocked, but this only happens in extreme situations.
